What Women Want

What Women Want

The most loved and worn rings

There are many types of rings, which differ in shape, materials, on which finger of the hand to wear it or on what occasion is most appropriate.
And obviously, each type of ring has its own meaning.

Let’s have a look:

1. SOLITAIRE

Solitaire ring

Definitely the most popular, especially if given or received for the engagement. Gold shank, most often white gold or even platinum. Only one central stone: the diamond. Simple yet beautiful and always desired. Its meaning is as simple as its shape: only one stone, only one love! It symbolizes purity, passion, and infinity.
This type of ring dates back to the 15th century and since then it has kept its meaning and charm intact.

2. TRINITY

Trinity ring

One of the most famous rings in the world. Made in 1924 by Cartier, it consists of three different bands of woven metal: yellow gold, pink gold, and white gold. The Trinity has been copied and imitated a lot over the years, but only the original Cartier has that special and unique charm.
Yellow gold symbolizes fidelity, pink gold symbolizes love and white gold symbolizes friendship.

3. ETERNITY

Eternity ring

It consists of a band of gold, usually white, covered with a continuous line of stones, almost always diamonds. There is also half-eternity: the stones cover only half the circumference of the ring.
This type of ring symbolizes the eternity of love and is often given on the occasion of a wedding anniversary.

4. TRILOGY

Trilogy ring

Another type of ring very famous and in demand. It consists of a gold base, both white and yellow, set with three stones, usually diamonds. It does not have a precise meaning, but it has taken hold anyway as a worthy substitute for rings with only one (and larger) stone.

5. HALO

Halo Ring

A ring that mounts a central stone, usually a diamond, and a halo of smaller stones around it. The purpose of the halo of small stones is to increase the visual impact of the entire ring, without having to resort to a larger and, therefore, more expensive stone.
This is also a very popular piece in every era and, of course, even today.
